Patrick grew up in a small town in Central California. Raised with strong country values and a desire to help others, Patrick’s parents always thought he would be a doctor or a lawyer. From an early age Patrick was exposed to real estate through is father; a General Construction and Engineering Contractor. Helping his father build Patrick’s first building at the age of 10 years old, he was exposed to how the “American Dream” comes to fruition.

Patrick has always been very active in school and extracurricular activities. He grew up playing tennis and was ranked in the USTA, leading as team captain of the tennis, baseball and football teams. Patrick received numerous awards and was scouted by colleges until he suffered a severe football injury his Senior year of high school. Patrick’s ability to play sports diminished but his desire for team unity and leadership continue throughout his life.

Patrick left the small town of Carmel Valley, Ca and moved to San Diego California to begin his College career at San Diego State University (SDSU). He arrived at SDSU working towards a Business Degree and in his second semester of college he found a new group at the time named, The Real Estate Society of SDSU. Patrick attended several meetings which consisted of only around 5 guys in a classroom. He then began thinking about his own life and how real estate is involved in it. After realizing that after he moves out of the dorms he would need to pay someone rent and the landlord in turn would be making a profit because of it, Patrick decided to cut out the middle man. Patrick put together his first investment proposal and pitched to his parents that if they co-signed on a house, he would find the house, rent out the house and manage it while he went through college. That is exactly what happend. Living rent free and creating a positive cash-flow on his first rental investment, Patrick was intrigued by the wealth of knowledge that could be exposed to students by helping them do the same thing.

Patrick then began studying to get his real estate license and at the age of 18 achieved that goal. He hung his license under a company that focused more on mortgages than real estate, and soon became one of their top producing agents. Due to the lack of resources at the brokerage, Patrick decided to switch to a new 100% broker model and started investing his own money in office space and marketing.

At the age of 19, Patrick started his first business under the name of San Diego Connection. Patrick opened his first office at the main entrance to San Diego State University with vision and goals of utilizing the small 10×10 “shack” to its highest and best use. Weeks before the office opened and rent had to be paid, Patrick leased out advertising space on one side of the building to local businesses, generating income that quadrupled his monthly rent. In addition, Patrick utilized the rest of the space for marketing SDConnection.com with the vision of connecting people together and helping students find rentals or if they could, purchase an investment home. Due to the success at this location, Patrick was able to devote more time to help build and prepare other students for their careers. In 2008, Patrick become President of the Real Estate Society of SDSU and within one year, increase paid membership by over 350% (80+ members) and sponsorship by more than 450% (23 corporate sponsors). Creating connections with some of the top commercial industry professionals, Patrick began working in commercial real estate with Grubb & Ellis as a Research Analyst.

While at Grubb & Ellis, Patrick was responsible for developing an internal commercial real estate database for the company. This position had him driving around every square inch of San Diego and allowed Patrick to be exposed to ALL areas in San Diego. Through this position Patrick gained a wealth of knowledge on demographics and other variations in the San Diego Communities. Patrick was then introduced by the Dean of the Business College at SDSU to a National Real Estate developer, Pierce Eduction Properties. Soon after, Patrick was offered a position as a Development Analyst which became the “right hand man” to the President & CEO. Developing RFP and RFQ research for Multi-Million to Billion Dollar developments across the country, Patrick’s visionary talents proved to be an asset.

After his successful college career and earning a bachelors of arts degree in City Planning, Patrick decided it was time to get back into real estate brokerage. In one of the worst real estate declines in history, Patrick saw and seized opportunity. In 2009, Patrick soon learned how websites and technology were changing the real estate industry. After becoming a California Real Estate Broker and with little money to start, Patrick started researching and building his own online real estate network. At the end of 2009 and solely on his own, Patrick closed over $4 million in sales and founded the California Real Estate & Mortgage. Soon after, Patrick became more actively involved with the San Diego Association of REALTORS. In 2010 Patrick was elected Chairman of the San Diego Association of REALTORS Young Professionals Network.

Now under the holding company, Patrick Alexander, Inc., Patrick owns and operates over 600 hyper-local and national websites, paving the way with unique branding and emotional attachment which provides actual value to local communities.
